Our camp was prepared to face Lavida Given of Submit You jiu jitsu in Broomfield Colorado on Nov 2nd for the Fight 2 Win MMA card in Denver Colorado. For both FusBoxe Angels Shannon and Maureen, the path to finding fights has been near impossible. Today we received news from the promoter that Lavida refuses to fight Shannon, but would accept a fight with Maureen. This just after Shannon's last opponent Stacy Sigala backed out on her live on MMA Meltdown, and then denied it in FaceBook saying she would fight any one anywhere!
My thoughts? Well.... Lavida has years more experience than ether Angel. One of her coaches reported to me directly that Sambo doesn't work. So, in light of those two things, I assume that Shannon's intense look has scared off Lavida.
As a coach, I'm frustrated on many levels.
